The story of TAF College is, in many ways, my own story.

After spending almost thirty years living abroad, I returned home to Ghana with the dream of establishing a real estate company that would help address our country's housing challenges. I believed that was the purpose God had brought me back for.

Then life took an unexpected turn. Shortly after my return, the Ghanaian cedi lost significant value. The project I had worked towards for years was no longer financially viable, and my investment partners withdrew. Overnight, everything I had planned came to an end.

I remember asking myself, “Lord, what do You want me to do now?”

As I reflected on my own journey, I remembered something that had changed my life many years earlier. I had been given a tuition-free scholarship in America. Someone had invested in me when I could not have afforded that opportunity myself. I realised that if my life had been changed through the generosity of others, then I wanted to spend my life doing the same for others.

With ten laptops purchased on credit, I started teaching practical skills to a small group of students. That was the beginning of TAF College.

What started with ten laptops has grown into a college that has graduated more than 300 students in just three years. We have watched our graduates build businesses, find meaningful work, discover confidence, and create opportunities for themselves and their families.

We believe education should transform lives.
